Because the snow kept some people away from the meeting last week, we are meeting again today March 14, 7:00 pm at the Old Firehall. We are hoping to firm up plans for our May windup and check in on plans for the quilt show. Show and tell us always welcome! Don't forget to bring any completed thread catchers (we need to get a firm count) or disappearing 4 patch blocks you may have finished. Dawn will have her laptop handy to receive any sewing room photos you have. Hope to see you there!

March Show and Tell
Here is the show and tell that you might have missed if you gotten snowed in tonight.
This is her favorite block. It was quilted by Kathy at Tamarack Shack and you can see more pictures here.
I finished quilting our Smokey river quilt. Part was a panto and part was custom. More here on my blog.
Sherry brought her stunning applique quilt.
Brenda brought one the Christmas projects she is completing for a challenge in Gilbert/Grandview. It is beautiful but she wants to add some more quilting before she calls it done.
Gloria completed the quilt from the friendship stars that she won last year. A very nice choice for the setting!
And Cheri was a busy lady with three projects to show us.
A little twister runner - the rick rack is a very nice addition!
A scrap quilt with some vintage '80's fabric that she needed to use up.
and a "Stripes and Curves" quilt in a really lovely color palette.
Because Dawn couldn't make it to the meeting tonight we are hoping to meet again in the next week or two to discuss more about the windup and quilt show plans. Look for more info here and in your email.
Don't forget to try to tackle one guild request in the next week - thread catchers, your handmade name tag, photos of your quilting/sewing space, disappearing 4 patch or a crocus block for the banner if you haven't already made one. You could also continue to work on your challenge or mystery quilt too! Sounds like we all should be attending the UFO day on March 16.
Happy quilting!
Lori
