January 4, 2018. Happy New Year! Our annual Christmas exchange party too.

We had a new exchange this year.  Those that wanted to participate brought twelve 5" blocks of either a shade of blue green or purple.  Cindy had it all figured out how to collect the blocks then distribute them.
It was amazing how everyone got such a nice selection of each color.

We also had a fat quarter exchange.  We had 27 members opening and exchanging with our exchange game.
It was a lot of  fun.

Show and tell was great as always. Kristin has been busy making such cute baby quilts.
She let us all in on her secret. She's having a baby boy!  This is another one she has underway.
That little man will not be cold .

Quilters stray from quilting sometimes.
Karen had some fun making cute garments for her granddaughter.

Getting back to quilting.  This is as Karen puts it just another scrap buster quilt.

Reneta made another darling quilt using one of her favorite patterns.

Look at these amazing exchange pieces Reneta has been gifted.
Just think for every one she has received she has made one to exchange with that person as well.  She has been busy.

Amy's been busy, I didn't get a picture of the back but it was a great Tula Pink wide backing.

Dawn is another crafty quilter.  She made a beautiful shawl that took about 3 months.
It will be for her future daughter in law.  The picture doesn't do it justice.

Joy showed off this cute piece she received as part of our guild 2017 star exchange.
We start a new one in February.  Keep an eye out in coming months for results.

Dawn designed this quilt herself.  It will be a raffle prize at her sons wedding social in February.

This is going to be the wedding quilt.  It will be gorgeous when it's totally finished.
Amy will have to forgive me I have forgotten the name of this quilt, but it's amazing.  Look closer.

A number of months ago we made slab blocks and donated to Ronald McDonald House for a quilt program they had underway.  Amy like it so much she dug into her stash and kept making more blocks.
What a fun way to use up fabric and it looks great.
