Hello ladies.  I spoke with Jackie this afternoon and she discovered a small error in the instructions for the friendship stars that were handed out at the last guild meeting.  There is an error with the diagram on instruction #7.  You actually need to make 2 sets that look like this:

 To add to this:

 To end up with this:

Sorry if this means up ripping for anyone!

If you need a copy of the full instructions leave a comment or email me and I will be happy to get them to you.

Have you done anything with your challenge fabrics yet?
Don't forget the three words that were included in your package - a block, a shape and a technique.

Challenges are due in May so time to stop procrastinating and time to start stitching!

Happy sewing!

March Guild Meeting

Although there were only 11 members in attendance it was still a wonderful evening!

Here is a look at all the lovely blue and white nine patches that were turned in.  A great big thanks to everyone who participated!  Bev Prestayko was the lucky winner of the matching set.  Congratulations Bev!

There was some lovely show and tell that was a result of the "Fun and Done" workshop hosted by Cindy in January.  Great work and lovely quilts ladies!

I only got a few close up shots last night.  Everybody put things away too fast!
Close ups!

Thanks to Gloria who demonstrated traditional paper piecing and something I had never heard of before - RIP-LESS paper piecing.  I am going to have to give that one a try very soon.

Our new charity quilt block is a green and cream Friendship Star.  I have instructions for anyone who missed the meeting - until next time Happy Quilting!
