October Show and Tell

Here is a small recap of the program and Show and Tell from our October Meeting. Sherry K. demonstrated string quilting.  She had a lot of beautiful examples and lots of good tips and hints for all of us.

Reneta has been busy digging into her stash.  She has made 18 placemats like this one, and all she bought was the binding to tie them all together.

Brenda's Mahjonng  quilt.

And one of three spectacular Halloween quilts Brenda is making from the Happy Haunting pattern.  The details are beyond amazing!  Brenda does caution anyone against making three of the same pattern - she thought would be easier if she did them all at once - she is now thinking this is more of a one time only kind of pattern....

And this really cute quilt as you go baby quilt.

Cindy is making this Blue Bomber quilt for a baby arriving soon, she brought the partially completed top as it would be sent away before our next meeting.

This scrappy diamond was shown by Dawn but belongs to her mom Eleanor.

One of Dawn's quilts that will be travelling as part of a show for the UN Quilt for Change  - making its debut in Rome spring 2016.

And last but not least Dawn's latest art quilt that is sure to travel far and wide and share its special story.  Invite Dawn over for coffee or drop her an email if you want to know more.

September Show and Tell

We had a great bunch of Show and Tell at our September meeting.  There certainly was a baby theme happening!

Pat made this lovely stained glass style quilt with blue leading, and her specialty - hand quilting.

June Show and Tell - Better late than never?

So I just came across these photos that didn't get posted.  Anyone who would like to learn to help out with the blog, I am more than willing to show you the ropes.  It really isn't hard it just takes a little time getting the pictures ready.

This is the quilt we donated to the Ronald McDonald House Fundraiser.

Mona finished her Alternate Routes Quilt.

And Mona also completed this "Tradewinds" quilt.

Lorraine started this quilt for her grand daughter at our "Quilt till you Wilt" weekend.  She didn't have a plan other than she wanted to use up her scraps that were actually pajama fabrics that she had made for her granddaughter. A few of us chimed in with some suggestions and she just went for it.   I think it turned out great!

Reneta completed this UFO - a batik Block of the Month.
