Challenges Revealed

Our annual challenge reveal evening is very anticipated and a lot of fun.  These are fabrics everyone started out with.

Last year's winner was Brenda, and part of her prize was selecting this fabric. There aren't a lot of rules with our challenges.  You can add as many or as few fabrics as you like, but at least one piece of each of the three fabrics must be used on the top.  The items must be quilted and the maximum size is 100" in perimeter to allow them to be easily hung at our annual display at the library. Everyone in attendance at the meeting gets a ballot to vote for their favorite.  Here are the results.

Brenda

Pat

Reneta

Sandra

Genny

Sherry

Nina
This one was made by Marion, but she was not in attendance at the meeting.

Karen was also unable to attend the meeting, but this was her project.

Joan

Mary

Cindy

Dawn

Gloria B

Gloria N

Jacquie

Beth

Karen

Winne

Amy

Leana

And last but not least was the winner of the viewer's choice.

Lori

That's me!  The prize is $25 and the honour of selecting the fabric and rules for next year's challenge.  Guess it's time to get shopping!

A couple of members used the fabric to make other things for special little people in their lives.  So cute!

April Show and Tell

Here is a look at the show and tell from our April meeting.  I only had my phone available for pictures this time.  Enjoy the show.

This one belongs to Bev, but she isn't in the picture!

Our visitor Kathy brought some show and tell too!

Trudy treated us to what was supposed to be a "mini" trunk show.  There was nothing mini about it.  I convinced her to let me take one photo, and you can see the pile of quilt tops behind her.  She was an inspiration  to everyone in the room - she can accomplish tonnes while working and have three little boys and a husband at home to take care of!

Our raffle quilt is complete and ticket books are available to member to sell.

Don't forget challenge reveal day is at our next meeting on May 5th! Is yours complete?  or does it still look like 3 fat quarters like mine???  Can't wait to see what everyone has created!
