Quilt Display in Hamiota

Genny and a great charm square table runner.  She spied a photo on Pinterest and put it together.  It is made up of one simple block - Half Square Triangles.

Nina and Pat made place mats with leftover from a quilt they made together for a special friend.

Hi Everyone.  I was going through my email and catching up on some of the posts from virtualquilter.com that I subscribe too.  She had a link to an amazing article that I think/feel that everyone should read.  It really makes  you stop and think.   I hope you never give up or feel like giving up and truly ENJOY what you are doing.

One Block Wonder

Hi Everyone.

Just to let you know that the lesson for the one block wonder is almost done.  There are a couple of more requirements needed for it which are different from the Stack N Wack.  If you are doing the one block wonder you will also need fat quarters of solid or fabric that reads as solid in three shades (dark, medium and light). These fabrics can either match fabrics that are in your quilt or contrast.  I have attached a picture of my quilt in progress.  Also for either class it would be great to have spray starch or Best Press.  Looking forward to next Friday.  Time of start will be talked about at our meeting on Thursday.

2016 Crocus Quilter's Guild Show

Over the weekend out little guild hosted a lovely show (if I do say so myself)! We had three vendors from around the province join us as well.  Thank you to Shari and Leroy from Road 17N, Leslie and Laura from Keystone Quilts and Wendy and George from Fabriculous!

 Friend of the guild - Kathy Schwartz  (Tamarack Shack Longarm Quilting) traveled from Flin Flon to take in the show and these pictures represent the show from her perspective.  Thank you for sharing your pictures with us!  With approximately 180 articles handing in the show, know that these pictures are a taste of what we had to offer!
