September 5, 2019 Guild meeting and Show & Tell

Welcome Back!

Summer flew by and here we are again, kids back to school
and we can get back to quilting after busy summer months.

Show & Tell this month was a great combination of bed quilts, baby quilts, table runners, pillows, lap quilts and art quilts.

Each month after our business portion of the meeting
we usually have a demonstration or an information session.

This month Amy gave a demo on a few different ways to produce half-square triangles and techniques on squaring them up.

June 13, 2019 Guild meeting and Show & Tell

This month marks the last meeting for the summer months.
There are some sewing days scheduled for the summer, check it out in Special events section.

Our meetings will start up in September with a new executive
and some new ideas coming from our programming committee.
See you in September!

Gloria made 2 graduation gifts for a niece and nephew, there is a little pocket
on the back for a monetary gift to hide in.

Lori is hiding behind this cute quilt.

Reneta has been busy as usual, the above pictures feature a new quilt pattern from Highway 10 Design "Simply Dashing", fancy patch quilt and pillow, which there are 4 of the same, a great Star Wars R2D2 quilt that she made on a smaller scale, and then this spectacular quilt made of 2" blocks.  There are over 5000 block in that quilt!

Eleanor said she barely made a dent in her scrap bin with this fancy scrap quilt.

Amy made this adorable quilt as a wedding gift for her brother.  You can't see it in the picture but the sir name "LONE" is stitched in the heart.

Karen made these 2 quilts using a simple block.
She is kind to donate them to the guild donation quilt stash.

Karen made a cute machine cover for her vintage feather light Singer sewing machine.
