May Meeting Highlights

As promised here is a little more of what went on at our last guild meeting besides the challenges in the last post.
Gloria N. was the lucky winner of our green friendship star blocks.  This picture doesn't show quite all of them, I think we had just over 30.  If you still have one at home feel free to bring it to the next meeting.

Karen showed this wall hanging made with silk flowers.

This is Linda's quilt.  Karen quilted it up for her.

We were lucky to see Karen's quilt before she gave it away.  I don't have the pattern name but it was made from a jelly roll.

And finally Gloria's Bali Wedding Star Bed runner.  This is such a stunner in person.  Unfortunately I didn't get any close ups of her quilting which just enhanced the whole thing.

Karen P. demonstrated a block with an interesting technique. It is included in the book "Rotary Cutting Revolution" by Anita Grossman Solomon.  It is called Anita's Arrowhead.  The pattern can be downloaded for free for a limited time from the Quilt Maker site here.

Our next UFO day will be taking place at the Ochre River Hall on May 26th.  We start at 10:00 and see how long we last.  Make sure to bring your lunch.  We are also hoping to plan a couple of UFO days over the summer for those who are interested.  More information to follow.

Don't forget that we do have a June 7th meeting in addition to the windup being hosted by the Ochre River Club.
